PAIN RELIEF FOR HERNIATED DISC

The spinal disc is a special cartilage between the bones of your spinal column and it attaches to the vertebra above and below it. This disc creates the separation between spinal bones so that pairs of nerves can exit the spine. Each spinal disc has a jelly-like “ball bearing” core that is contained by bands of fibrous tissue. Healthy discs give you flexibility for normal turning and bending. Unfortunately, improper lifting, slips, falls and car accidents can cause the core of the spinal disc to shift and cause a herniated disc. The jelly-like core of the disc can leak through to the outer portion of the disc. Herniated discs most commonly occur in the lower back and can cause chronic pain. We can help!

PREGNANCY

When your body goes through the various stages and trials of pregnancy and labor, your spine is subjected to extreme amounts of stress. After all, it has to constantly adjust itself to bear the growing weight of another person over a short timeframe of just nine months. The center of gravity shifts forward and substantial weight gain adds stress to the spine of the expecting mother. This stress frequently causes lower back pain, headaches and migraines, nausea, insomnia, and other symptoms that can wreak havoc on your quality of life.

 WEBSTER TECHNIQUE FOR PREGNANT WOMEN

The Webster Technique was designed to help remove subluxations in pregnant women and restore balance to the pelvic area through adjustments and relaxation of special ligaments in the pelvic girdle. This helps to relieve the pressure and stress that can be placed on the pelvic area during pregnancy & childbirth and it also helps with optimal fetal positioning.

CHIROPRACTIC FOR SPORTS INJURIES

Activities can exert a tremendous amount of stress on the spinal column and joints. Dr. Peter Morgan works with amateur through professional athletes for optimal health to prevent injury. Unfortunately injuries occur, but with chiropractic for sports injuries, clients regain strength and avoid chronic issues. A sports injury such as a sprained ankle or sore back can result from poor technique or lead to poor technique when an individual athlete overcompensates for an injury favoring one side of his or her body or one position. Sports injuries also lead to secondary pains and problems. Dr. Peter Morgan treats not just the specific location of pain, but the areas radiating out from it as well.
